Dr. Kyra Lee is both a board certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. As a Bay Area native, she attended UC Berkeley, earning her degree in Molecular and Cell Biology. Throughout her four years in undergrad and one year post graduation, she was involved in microbiology research at UCSF Mission Bay. Her time here resulted in several publications in both Cell and Nature magazine. She then went on to receive her D.D.S from the University of Southern California (USC) School of Dentistry. Upon graduating, she returned to the Bay Area where she practiced for many years as a general dentist in private practice before realizing that her true passion was in orthodontics!
Dr. Lee subsequently entered residency at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry where she earned her Certificate in Orthodontics and Master of Science Degree in Dentistry. Additionally, from her experience at the Stanford Sleep Medicine Clinic her interest in dental sleep medicine grew, prompting her to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine and to participate in sleep medicine research and conferences worldwide.
Entering the orthodontic specialty has been an incredible journey and Dr. Lee feels blessed to be able to help patients achieve a confident, beautiful smile! Whether it be through traditional braces or Invisalign, Dr. Lee is committed to providing the highest level of care to all of her patients. In her free time, she loves to travel, hike, read, run marathons, garden, paint, and spend time with her family and friends. Moreover, her deep rooted commitment to giving back to the community from a young age has led to continued efforts in participating in various free clinics, mobile clinics, homeless shelters, and dental mission trips abroad.
She is excited to be a part of the Mills-Peninsula dental team and looks forward to meeting everyone in clinic!
